Title 1 & State Accountability Report Card

Title I is the nation’s largest federal assistance program for schools, its primary goal being to help every child get a high-quality education and meet academic standards. Title I resources are directed towards students who need them most, helping children be successful in school.

Future currently operates as a Targeted Assistant Title I school, and is in the planning process to operate as a school wide program. This means that our current Title I resources are used to benefit only a sub-group of children enrolled in our school, as guided by our school’s “Targeted Assistant Plan”.

Title I staff support in our classrooms on a regular basis to provide instruction and assistance. Students may also be pulled out of the classroom at times for small group instruction and academic intervention.

Parents are a vital part of the Title I Program and are urged to participate through:
  • Membership in the Parent/Family & Teacher Group
  • Service on School Councils,
  • Classroom visits,
  • Participation in informational programs,
  • Family training workshops,
  • Family/teacher conferences, and
  • By signing the School-Family Compact.
The importance of a parent/family interest and involvement in his or her child’s education cannot be overemphasized.
In compliance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), parents and families in a Title 1 school have the right to request information about the professional qualifications of your student’s teacher(s) or instructional paraprofessional(s). You can view steps to doing so in this annual letter.

District Report Cards answer important questions about a school’s overall performance and contain specific information about student enrollment and teacher qualifications, student achievement, accountability, how a school is performing relative to other schools in the district and state, and the progress made toward narrowing proficiency gaps for different groups of students.
