Holistic Programing

Future’s Holistic Approach

Every student at Future has the opportunity to participate in additional learning. These studies are complimentary subjects as well as supplemental learning experiences that reenforce classroom instruction. The teachers and coaches providing this instruction are experts in their vocations and help us achieve our mission to develop holistic students with well rounded character and academic achievement.

Movement

Movement is offered with the goal to foster joy and confidence in physical movement. Movement promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function, movement, and physical literacy.

CompSci

CompSci provides an opportunity to develop an engineer mindset. Confidence in approaching problems, creating solutions, and iterating designs is built by using Design Engineering in team and solo challenges.

Art Studio

The Art Studio parallels artists in the real world. Self-directed learning is supported by a structured studio environment introducing tools, materials, and techniques to develop Creative Process and Studio Habits of Mind.

Library

Library teaches care for the physical books as well as understanding the importance of handling all stories with care by listening with respect to other perspectives and being conscientious with their own stories.

Quest

Quest is challenge-based learning that occurs through an intensive, short-term interdisciplinary study. It aims to develop change and leaders in our community through deep exploration led by individual student interests.

Enrichment

Enrichment is offered to select students who are provided with differentiated instruction meant to meet their academic needs and push them to realize their full potential by being appropriately challenged.

Classroom Support for Math, Literacy, and Diverse Learners

Future has curated a strong team of coaches for math, literacy, and diverse learning. These coaches work with teachers by crafting methods and techniques that support the unique needs of each class. They also lead a niche team that provides addition support in the classrooms or within small groups outside of the classroom.
